Founded in 1994, Nextec Applications, Inc. has pioneered a new process for creating performance fabrics. By using precise polymer placement and special chemistries, we place protection inside the fabric, encapsulating the actual woven fibers.

Our encapsulation processes, methods and equipment are protected by more than 51 patents issued or pending in the U.S. and internationally. Our design and management teams now lead the production of high performance fabrics for a broad range of markets including outdoor gear, performance apparel, industrial applications and protective products.

Nextec's extensive R&D capabilities cover fabric characterization, polymer research and development and a full range of ASTM and AATCC fabric testing. Our quality assurance is overseen by fully integrated, computerized systems linking administration, production, labs, and quality control.

We also work to protect and preserve the places where so many of our products are used. The Nextec® encapsulation process does not use solvents or other substances, which are hazardous to the environment or to workplace health and safety. We use only 100% solid materials, which create no hazardous wastes.
